D, I downloaded 'Our Time' with DAP and it worked just fine. Grabbed it, no problem.

Cheers for that. I can't get the fuckers
to stream or DL using ADSL2, so I dread
to think what people using 56.6 are doing.
I've sent an email to the server, but they're
not really interested in domestic accounts
anymore, especially not by urchins like me
who can't afford top dollar. But.. you never
know. I have unlimited space on the uni server,
but I don't strangers being able to click their
way to photos of my classmates, uni and semi-
private life, if you know what I mean.

I don't have broadband here, only 56k dial-up. It downloaded at the expected transfer rate, around 4KB/sec. Only took 6 or 7 minutes.

That's about average, I suppose. Sad, innit:
ADSL2 will download the latest 600meg pirated
DVD film in the time it will take dail-up ppl
to download an 800k file. And yet, the monthly
cost is roughly the same for some people.
And... Business ADSL - 10mbps - has been commer-
cially available/affordable (say, ?25 a month)
for about 10 years, but BT won't lease the
lines. Don't upgrade to broadband, Stace, for
at least a year or so.

Not planning on it.
Cost is everything to me. I'm not really that bothered about speed.
I get a night-time access package for ?3 a month, and a weekday daytime package for ?4.99 a month.
